Herding

Jerry met with sheep the very first time in his life at the mature age of 4,5 years.

We attended herding day in July, which was organised by collie club and was held in Somero, Swedun paimennuskoulu. The day included three times with sheep. First, in the morning Jerry was in long leash and we were walking around in the yard with sheep.

Second time our trainer took leash from me and I went  to go walk with my sheep. Jerry was in the leash so that trainer was able to keep him behind me and sheep, because Jerry was most interested to come to me. Well, can’t blame him for that because in everything else we do, we do things just two of us:) I think Jerry was interested in sheep in a positive way, but he just couldn’t understand 100% what we should do with them so he asked me. Third time, Jerry was free and very were in slightly bigger yard with sheep though there was less sheep. I think pictures below tell more than words:). I think we’ll meet with sheep maybe also next summer as it was quite fun!
